Xanthe Beesley is a movement director and theatre maker in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia - working with theatre companies, independent artists, communities and students.
Her work ranges from staging large scale, multi-person performances, to facilitating theatre making projects with communities and movement directing for theatre, dance and film. She is known for activating physical dramaturgy to enhance live performance.
Xanthe works collaboratively,in consultation,as part of long-term developments with others and also as an initiator and lead artist in her own projects and research.
She is the Artistic Director of Union House Theatre,developing programs to foster student creativity, connection, and joy.
We live, work and make art on the lands of the people of the Kulin Nation,
and pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
